Summer Mission Trip Update

Hi all,

As many of you know, we will no longer be traveling to Jamaica for our mission trip. This decision was made due to the recent violence and insecurity within the country. In place of Jamaica we will be heading down to the surrounding area of New Orleans to help repair the damages caused by the recent hurricanes. The information on this trip is very scarce right now, as Father Flood and I are working on setting up our trip through several local organizations.

What we do know is that the trip will take place in either late June or early July and we will be taking a bus as well as several vehicles down. The maximum number of teens will be around 50. We will most likely stay at a school or Church once we arrive. We will NOT be in the heart of New Orleans, but on the outskirts of the city where it is safer and less devestated.

As soon as I have more details I will post and keep you all updated. Thank you for your interest and support in this matter! Please continue your prayers for a safe and successful trip!

New Posts by New Writers...on their way!

Hey Everyone in Blogdom (specifically those who read and actually care what's in this blog),

I'm sorry for the lack of posts as of late. I can say that time constraints have been the main cause still there is no excuse, especially because there is so much to post about. You can now stop drying your eyes due to lack of posting, good news is here! We have recruited writers who will add their much needed talent and perspective to this humble blog. Thank you in advance - Adam, Kitty and Diana.

Oh and for those of you who are now worried that I am being replaced, have no fear. You can't escape my ramblings that easily. I'll still be here posting away.

NCYC 2005!!!

It was HUGE! Imagine almost 20,000 teens all gathered in one place celebrating their Catholic faith and that's NCYC (National Catholic Youth Conference). Teens came from all over the country - Alaska, Hawaii, California, New York, you get the idea. 18 of us went down on Sat. to join in with everyone else. More pictures are here.
