Whitewater Trip

Hi everyone! The following are some details about the Whitewater trip next
weekend:
* Friday, August 5th - Sunday, August 7th
* Meet at the Church at 6:00pm on Friday
* We will be staying in cabins with bunks, so bring your own bedding
(sleeping bag and pillow works best)
* Bring a towel or two, clothes you don't mind getting dirty, and
shoes you can wear in the river.
* We will raft the upper Ocoee on Saturday and the middle Ocoee on
Sunday. We may be horseback riding on Saturday as well.
* All meals are included except for dinner on Friday (we will be
stopping on the way up) and lunch on Sunday (we will be stopping on the way back to the Church). So bring money for food stops and also for souvenirs.
* The total cost for all of this is $140.00!!!!!
* Please have your form and check turned into me by this Sunday.

Thanks!

SPLASH 2005 Success!!!

SPLASH was a success!

With 20 rising 9th graders along with 17 adults, college core and peer ministers we all had a wonderful time getting to know each other and getting a taste of what the youth group is all about.

Here are some fun things to either relive SPLASH or to actually see what you missed.

I'm looking forward to getting to know all of our freshmen this year. Remember you get as much out of it as you put into it.

Just a reminder whitewater rafting is in 2 short weeks so contact Cassi or leave a comment on here if you are interested. Trust me it is a total blast!

I hope everyone has as good a time as I did.

GOD BLESS!!!

Summer FUN!!!

Since CHWC the fun hasn't stopped!

We had a rocking slideshow that highlighted the entire CHWC experience put together by our very talented Cassi (with inspiration from Katie and Bridget). For those of you who didn't get to attend most of the pictures can be viewed from this link - CHWC 2005 Pictures

On Sunday's before Teen Mass at 3:30 Patrick's been heading up a bible study for those who can attend. He's covered how we're called to be spiritual warriors, the Book of Esther, and this sunday is on 1st Corinthians Chpt. 13 "What is Love?". Anyone who's interested come join in!

Wednesday nights have been FUN FUN FUN! We've had a picnic in the park in downtown Duluth where we kicked the soccer ball around, played dodge-frisbee and monster golf, and ate fried chicken and cookies. Here are some pictures - Picnic In Duluth This past Wednesday we met up for mexican and then headed to the church for a game of wiffleball in the Benedict Dome (PLC) and watched "The Incredibles" on the big screen. This next Weds. looks to be extra fun with a pool party!!! I don't know the details yet, but let Patrick, Cassi or myself (Eric) know you're interested and we'll make sure you're informed.

SPLASH is a retreat specifically for rising 9th graders to introduce them into the youth group. It's a retreat unlike any of the other retreats we do. The 9th graders that come are joined by peer ministers who have been in the program who will help lead and welcome them. This year is a little bit different from previous SPLASH retreats because the location has changed and along with that we have more resources at our disposal. Here's a link to where we're going - Cohutta Lodge

We hope everyone is having as much fun as we are this summer!

God Bless!!!
