Six Flags, Summer, and more!

Thanks to all the teens, college kids, and adults who joined us last Sunday for a day at Six Flags! Somehow we got lucky and picked a day that presented us with shorter lines than usual (atleast for the first half of the day)! Congrats to all of you who conquered GOLIATH ... the newest addition to the park this year. With a speed of 70 mph and soaring over the park at 170 feet, it's definitely intimidating ... but worth the wait!

You can check the calendar for updates, but as of now, here are our summer trips:

Peer Ministry Retreat - June 2-4
SPLASH - June 15-18th
Louisiana Mission Trip - July 10-16
Whitewater - July 28-30

We'll also be doing everything from bowling, movies and the Stone Mountain Laser Show on Sunday nights after Mass, so stay tuned!

GODspace - Who's in your top 8?

Check out God's Myspace by clicking the image above.

Does everything you do glorify God? It's not only how you treat other people and the things you actually do, but how about what you do on the internet? Would Jesus approve of the websites that you go to or the way you portray yourself on your Myspace, Xanga, LiveJournal, or Facebook. What about what you say over instant messanger or in your texts? Living a holy life extends past what others see and into every aspect of your life. Remember we are called to be saints and the only way into heaven is as a saint.

Then there's the issue of safety. Are you careful about what information you place out there in public on websites? I could find half a dozen of your cellphone numbers right now by looking in the right places on websites, in away messages or even searching the comments you leave for your friends on their webpages. These are all public places and are available to anyone with an internet connection. Parents, do you know where your teens go or what they do when they are online? Talk to your teens often about what interests them on the internet. The issue isn't only about trust, it's about safety. There are dangerous people out there that will hurt you if you give them the opportunity.

Thanks go out to everyone who helped put on this past lifenite!

God Bless!
Eric

Stand-Up-Athon 2006!

This past Sunday a group of about 15 teens from our youth group went down to Centennial Park in downtown Atlanta to help raise money and bring awareness to the homeless teens in our city. Every 13 minutes a homeless teen dies on the streets. Stand up for those without a family or home to go to.

Thank you to everyone who participated!

God Bless!!
